Stacey Fotiou

Ms. Fotiou was born and raised in the West Island of Montreal, where she attended both Concordia and McGill Universities. At Concordia, she studied English Literature, taking courses that continue to inspire her lessons today, particularly in creative writing and science fiction. She completed her Bachelor of Education at McGill University, majoring in Secondary English and minoring in History. Upon graduation, she was recruited by Collège Saint-Sacrement, a prestigious private high school in the charming town of Terrebonne, where she taught English for 6 years.

Ms. Fotiou has dreamed of teaching since her high school years, driven by her passion for literature and writing. In the classroom, she uses blended learning to keep students motivated and engaged. She also enjoys integrating technology and interdisciplinary materials into her lessons. Known for her sense of humor, her classroom is always buzzing with laughter. In her free time, Ms. Fotiou enjoys “glamping,” road trips, scary movies, and curling up with a good book. One of her proudest achievements is having survived a night at Camp Crystal Lake, the infamous setting of the horror series Friday the 13th.

Having relocated to Kingston as part of the Canadian Armed Forces’ extended family, she has fallen in love with both Kingston and Leahurst. This is Ms. Fotiou's fourth year at Leahurst College.
