Mr. Geale

Physics, Functions and Science
Mike Gaele

Asking Mr. Geale where he’s from is a complicated question! Born in Toronto but moved to Calgary at a young age, where he then moved back and forth between there and the Netherlands until he graduated high school, and subsequently achieved a bachelor of applied science and bachelor of education at Queen’s University.

Mr. Geale has a deep passion for all things science, but has a particular interest in physics and math. To him, math isn’t just solving equations, it’s using patterns and logic to iteratively build on one’s critical and abstract thinking skills. As a high school teacher, he aims to share his passion with his new students in exciting and engaging ways.

In his free time, Mr. Geale enjoys playing games of all kinds, from board to video to word games. Games provide an opportunity for practicing teamwork and communication, developing strategy, and building intuition for probabilities. All vital skills for a mathematician, physicist, or a Dungeons and Dragon player! He enjoys listening to all genres of music, especially to albums that have a strong vision the artist is sharing. Mike can also be occasionally spotted longboarding through the streets of Kingston. This is Mr. Geale's first year at Leahurst!
